Field Day 2021

At the beginning of October we hosted the first “Field Day” at January & June, and I am so grateful to finally have time to reflect and share about this experience. Our goal was to provide a casual environment for designers to come and “have a field day” with some flowers cut fresh just for them. No event brief, no strict color palette, just some time to explore and have fun. These women are smart, hard working, endlessly creative, and such an inspirational crew to spend time with. Creating a space for everyone to play with local blooms and appreciate the efforts of local flower growers seemed to be a no brainer, and I was so grateful to be able to connect with these amazing ladies “off the clock”. Wynnie's Flower Farm , Blooms on Lincoln Ave , and I provided buckets of our best seasonal flowers for our designers to come, have a glass of wine, and create something just for fun. Which, really, after 2021 I think every florist deserves!

We plan to host Field Days on a regular basis, so if you are a florist that’s interested in learning more about designing with local flowers or a grower interested in offering your flowers, make sure you’re on our email list so we can have you on the list for next time. 🥰

As always, thank you Allie Case Photography for capturing beautiful photos and making this look like a gorgeous foggy day on the farm and not the smoke filled 200 AQI day it really was. 😅

xo,
natalie
